Below is a short film I made, shot on location at Disneyland. The filter effect I used is called bokeh. By cutting a shape into a lens cap and affixing it to the end of the camera, you can create amazing effect in the out-of-focus areas of the image. The footage was shot at 24fps using a 50mm prime lens at f/1.8.

Life is not without it’s exceptions, though. Once in a while, we are awarded a chance to see and relive moments of the past. Disneyland has awarded us with such a chance; the return of Captain EO.

Make it a priority to revisit this classic from the 80′s. This rare opportunity wont last forever!

The Jedi Academy is perhaps one of the most entertaining live performances in Disneyland. The show enlists the help of several kids in the audience to engage in a light-saber battle with Darth Vader himself! The equally menacing Sith lord, Darth Maul, makes an appearance as well. I’m quite familiar with his role in Episode One and even I struggled to identify if the stage performer was the actually the real Darth Maul. His technique was flawless!
