This weekend I experimented with a new app for iPhone. The Trails app tracks your hike progress with GPS to record location, distance, elevation, speed, etc. and then allows you to upload the recorded data to EveryTrail.com. The data was surprisingly acurate, however the app must remain open for the service to work. This gives the battery quite a workout. My 3 hour hike used about 40% of the charge.

iPhone 3GS
Friday, June 19th, 2009The new iPhone 3GS was released today. Since June 29, 2007, I’ve carried the same iPhone around and have miraculously managed to not loose it or break it. Therefore, it was with some reluctance that I decided to shut it down and make the switch to the newer, faster model. Blog posts from now on should display noticeably better picture quality, and once the iPhone Wordpress App is upgraded, videos should stat making an appearance on here as well!
