I’ve seen the signs, but have never seen the actual show. The Jedi Academy is perhaps one of the most entertaining live performances in Disneyland. The show enlists the help of several kids in the audience to engage in a light-saber battle with Darth Vader himself! The equally menacing Sith lord, Darth Maul, makes an appearance as well. I’m quite familiar with his role in Episode One and even I struggled to identify if the stage performer was the actually the real Darth Maul. His technique was flawless!

Monday, April 20th, 2009Today I renewed my Disneyland Annual Passport and got a chance to check out the latest construction at Disney’s California Adventure. There is a whole mess of building materials in the lake bed and several incomplete structures. There were a few construction crews walking around in the late afternoon, but otherwise not a lot of activity.

Friday, April 10th, 2009If you haven’t been to downtown Los Angeles in a while, I highly recommend you check out the new Nokia Plaza. With the amenities of the Block at Orange, and the pizazz of Las Vegas, this new spot is a great spot to check out on a weekend evening. I took this picture from across the street in front of the Staples Center.
